The lowest priced Glendora Home is listed at $266,730 ($214.41 per sqft, 65 Days on Market, REO), the highest priced Glendora Home is listed at $5,995,000 ($461.15 per sqft, 43 Days on Market).

The lowest priced Glendora Condo is listed at $229,900 ($186.91, $20K price reduction, 127 Days on Market, REO), the highest priced Glendora Condo is listed at $459,800 ($259.33 per sqft, 91 Days on Market).

Besides the active listings, there are also 26 Glendora Homes and 3 Glendora Condos in Back-Up Offer Status, and 38 Glendora Homes and 9 Glendora Condos are Pending Sale.

Since last week's Glendora Real Estate Market Report (07/22/2010), 6 properties successfully closed Escrow - all Single Family Homes (ranging from $282,000 and $425,000 respectively) - 2 REOs, 2 Short Sales, 2 Standard Sales.

With regards to Glendora Short Sales and Glendora Foreclosures, 18% of all active Glendora Residential Property Listings are Short Sales (no change from last week), and only 9% are Bank Owned Properties (down 1% from last week). Of all active Glendora Home Listings, 19% are Short Sales and 10% are Bank Owned Properties. Of all active Glendora Condos, 9% are Short Sales and 5% are Bank Owned Properties.

Thinking about buying a Whittier pool home? With temperatures finally soaring outside (a "comfortable" 100 degrees this afternoon), one can not help but dream about jumping into the pool. 

On average, pool homes sell only slightly above comparable homes without a pool, but a pool seems to make a home more "sellable" and once summer temperatures hit, pool homes are a highly desirable commodity.

Wonder what your chances are of finding a Whittier pool home? Well, they look pretty good! There are a total of 416 active Residential Properties for sale in Whittier today and of those 416 properties, 107 have a pool!

Of the 107 Whittier pool properties, 66 are Single Family Homes (a mix of Association and Private Pools), 41 are Condos (Association Pools). And there's even more good news - they come in all price ranges, whether you are on a smaller budget or are looking for a Whittier luxury home with a private pool.

When the weather is 75 Fahrenheit outside, it is hard to get in a Christmas mood, but there are some places in the Los Angeles area that make the Christmas spirit come alive.

One of these places is The Grove with its beautiful display of lights and the gigantic, decorated Christmas Tree.

The Grove is located at 189 The Grove Drive, Los Angeles, CA 90036, off of Fairfax and W. 3rd (for a more detailed map go to http://www.thegrovela.com/map.html), about a 45 minute drive from Whittier (a little faster if there is no traffic).

Parking is easily found at The Grove in the huge parking structure off of W. 3rd St, however, when you get there in the evening, you might have to do a bit of driving up and down the structure as it can get a bit busy. Once you park your car, walk over to the elevators and enjoy the fantastic views from the higher level parking decks. Looking towards The Grove, this is what you will see:

The Grove offers a multitude of shops and restaurants to chose from and let's not forget the fabulous Farmers' Market with its 75-year tradition - food stand after food stand with delicious treats from all over the world, with little specialty shops mixed in between. One of my all-time favorites is Pampas Grill (Brazilian specialty foods) towards the back of the Farmers' Market, simply delicious! This time of year, The Grove is particularly exciting for the little ones - besides the beautiful Christmas tree, there is also a great display of Santa with his reindeer high above in the air AND it even snows! Well, not real snow, but it sure looks real enough to get the little ones excited :-)

The Grove also has a wonderful fountain and water display in the center of the little pond, a pretty stream off to the side, and a bridge to cross the water.

Besides all the wonderful decorations, The Grove of course also has a multitude of stores where you can do your Christmas shopping. You will find stores like Anthropology, Banana Republic, GAP, Guess, Michael Kors, among many others, as well as my personal favorite, a gigantic Barnes & Nobles with a huge selection of books (wonderful books on Architecture, Photography and Arts).
