Since the last Whittier Real Estate Snapshot (last week, 06/28/10), 29 properties were listed in Whittier - 6 of them were Short Sales (ranging from $220,950 to $450,000), 5 of them were Bank Owned Homes (ranging from $247,900 for a Condo to $375,360 for a Single Family Home), the remaining 18 were Regular Listings.
There were a total of 23 Whittier Properties that successfully closed Escrow last week (from 06/28/10 to 07/06/10), the lowest being a bank owned Single Family Home at $205,000 ($173.66 per sqft, 115 Days on Market), the highest a standard sale for Single Family Home at $535,000 ($222.31 per sqft, 282 Days on Market). Of the Whittier homes that sold last week, 7 were Short Sales, 4 were bank owned properties.
On a broader scale, Whittier June sales are down 12% from 135 closed transactions in May 2010 (24% Short Sales, 19% Bank Owned, 58% Regular Sales) to 119 in June 2010 (28% Short Sales, 19% Bank Owned, 53% Regular Sales).
